Tanning Prep
Schedule all other services at least two days before your tan to prevent residues that can compromise your tan (this would be hair, massage, nails, waxing, and facials)
Exfoliate and shave 24-48 hours before (I recommend an exfoliating mitt or a non oily coffee scrub and moisturizing really well immediately after)
Stay hydrated to keep your tan lasting longer (Drink water and moisturize multiple times leading up to your appt)
On the day of your appt arrive with clean skin (No makeup, lotions, perfume, or deodorant, These will cause uneven development)
Right after your tan, wear loose dark clothing while your tan develops to avoid rubbing (No leggings or restrictive clothes)
Tanning After Care
Avoid water exposure, sweating, and avoid touching your skin until rinse time
At your designated rinse time, shower in lukewarm water for 3-4 minutes gently using your hands to help rinse off the bronzer. Make sure the water runs CLEAR to avoid streaking, and avoid using products until the next day as your tan is still developing even after rinsing
Pat dry always until your tan has faded away (Avoid rubbing the towel on your wet skin to keep the longevity of your tan)
Use tan safe body washes and lotions daily and stay hydrated! Avoid hot showers, baths, excessive shaving, and long exposure to chlorine to prevent premature fading
Hair Extension Care
Always use extension safe products (Goldie Locks and Davines are my top two)
Use leave-in conditioners and serums frequently, hydration is key to making the wefts last
If you choose to swim, rinse hair in clean water first, towel dry and apply conditioner or leave-in. Make sure it is put in a braid style to prevent matting
Avoid sunscreen containing avobenzone around your face and shoulders as that can cause discoloration especially in lighter colored hair. I recommend mineral sunscreen
Always blow dry after sweating, steam rooms, or washing, focusing on the weft line
Brush hair daily making sure to apply pressure at the weft line while doing so to prevent pulling
Use heat protectant!
